Frequently Asked Questions

Visiting

When did you open?

We opened our doors on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Do I have to be 21 to come in?

Yes. Everyone who comes through the door must be 21 or older, with no exceptions. That includes guests of members, people who aren't drinking, and private events.

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport or military ID). Our staff will ask to see it before taking your order.

What are your hours?

Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm to 10pm. Friday, 4pm to midnight. Saturday, 2pm to midnight.

Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, except for special events.

Is the bar membership only?

No. Dram's is open to the public. Membership is for people who want more than a good drink: event and tasting access, early access to allocated bottles, a tab credit when you join, and on some tiers a private bottle locker behind the bar.

Do I need a reservation?

No. Walk-ins are always welcome. If you're coming with a group of 7 or more, call or email us ahead and we'll get a space ready.

Where are you, and where do I park?

605 N Mesquite St, Corpus Christi, TX 78401, downtown. There's street parking along Mesquite St and the surrounding downtown streets.

Is there a dress code?

No strict dress code. Come as you are, though the room rewards a little effort.

Do you have a patio? Can I smoke there?

Yes. Cigars and vapes are welcome on the patio. If you're smoking cigarettes, please step out front.

Are dogs allowed?

Only service animals.

Do you have TVs?

We have a TV, but it stays muted unless there's a special event. We'll have music playing.

Is the bar wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

Can I bring my own bottle and pay a corkage fee?

Unfortunately not. Our TABC license requires that every drink served here is bought from us, so we can't allow outside bottles.

Do you serve food?

Not yet. We're opening as a bar first, and a food menu is coming later.

I don't know anything about whiskey. Will I feel out of place?

No, and this is the part we care most about. Our staff are guides, not gatekeepers. Tell them what you usually enjoy and they'll find you something. Not knowing where to start is the best reason to come in.

Do you have anything for someone who isn't drinking?

Ask your bartender. We're happy to make something alcohol-free.

Membership

What do I get as a member?

It depends on the tier, but every membership includes members-only barrel picks at member pricing, a complimentary birthday pour of up to $40 in your birthday month, a discount on merchandise (and food, once the kitchen opens), complimentary event passes each year, and a digital tasting journal to log what you drink.

What are the tiers, and what do they cost?

Every tier is listed below.

TierJoiningThen
Standard$1,000$500/year or $50/month
Premium$1,000$1,200/year or $115/month
Founders (limited to 25)$1,000$1,800/year or $175/month
Bottle Locker onlyNone$900/year or $95/month
Digital AccessNone$10/month
House Account (corporate)$2,500$3,000/year

Standard members can add a private bottle locker for $50/month.

What's the tab credit?

A one-time joining credit for your first visits: $300 at Standard, $400 at Premium, $500 at Founders. Use it within your first 90 days.

Is there a commitment?

Yes. Memberships run for 12 months. Digital Access is the exception: it's month-to-month, and you can cancel any time with 30 days' written notice.

Are Founders memberships still available?

Founders memberships are limited to 25 people and are available while they last. Email us or apply on the membership page to check.

What's the referral credit?

$100 on your tab for each new Standard, Premium or Founders member you refer.

Bottle Lockers

What is a bottle locker?

A numbered cabinet behind the bar that holds up to four bottles reserved in your name. We pour from them whenever we're open. There are 64 in the building.

Which memberships include one?

Premium and Founders include a locker. Standard members can add one for $50/month. There's also a Bottle Locker membership for people who want the locker and nothing else, at $900/year or $95/month.

Can I bring my own bottle to keep there?

No. That's the law, not our preference: under our Mixed Beverage Permit, every drop of alcohol on the premises has to be bought by us. Bottles in your locker are bought here and stay here.

Can I take a bottle home?

No, for the same reason. A reserved bottle can't leave the premises.

Can someone else drink from my bottle?

You can name one other person on your locker. We'll need their name and date of birth, and they must be 21 or over. You or they must be there for the locker to be opened. A guest can also be served from your bottle while you're with them.

What happens when all 64 lockers are taken?

There's a waiting list, worked in the order people join it. We hold 25 lockers for Founders until those seats are filled.

Events & Private Hire

What kind of events do you run?

Tastings, barrel-pick events and bottle releases. Members get free event passes each year (two at Standard, three at Premium, four at Founders) and hear about everything first.

Can I book the space for a private event?

Yes. The Founders Room holds up to 30 people for private events, corporate tastings and member gatherings, with full bar service. Buyouts of the whole bar are also available. Send an enquiry through the contact page and we'll get back to you.

What is the House Account?

A corporate membership for entertaining clients. It includes up to six member cards, a dedicated locker in the Founders Room with your company nameplate, a bottle of Weller Full Proof on joining, priority event booking, one free private tasting a year, and 10% off for every cardholder. Limited to eight accounts.
